Songwriter and music therapist Brandon Hassan B.M. '17, who performs under the moniker Brandon Shah, will be playing a number of evening sets at B3 restaurant from July 24 to July 27. The restaurant, which opened this spring, is located in Berklee’s 160 Massachusetts Avenue building and features live Berklee musicians every night of the week.

Hassan, who made it to the top 24 of the hit show X-Factor when he was only 16, has amassed a vast catalog of original tunes both before and during his time at Berklee. He describes his energetic and heartfelt musical style as soul-folk, a vibe the public can enjoy on his debut studio EP, Young Love. A music therapy major and psychology minor, Hassan graduated in May 2017 and had the privilege to sing for honorary doctorate recipient Lionel Richie '17H at this year's commencement concert. This fall, he will begin a music therapy internship in Virginia to help further prepare him for a career as a professional clinician.

Take a listen to “Work of Art,” the lead track from Young Love. And be sure to catch him performing at B3 in July as a duo with cellist and fellow Berklee student Cristobal Cruz-Garcia.
