At first blush, "King" might seem like a strange moniker for an all-female pop group, but the reality is that it couldn’t be more appropriate.

Berklee alumnae Anita Bias ’07 and Paris Strother ’08 teamed with Strother’s twin sister Amber to create songs with an ethos they call "electro-soul."

The trio began posting the songs they write, perform, and produce themselves on YouTube for their friends and family to enjoy. But the internet had other ideas, and within a month they’d netted more than 40,000 views and some new fans with names like Erykah Badu, ?uestlove, Corinne Bailey Rae, Janelle Monae, and Prince, who has invited them to share his stage and is personally guiding the release of their debut album.
