NPR music critic Ann Powers recently featured rising country music star and 2006 Berklee graduate Charlie Worsham’s new song, “The Beginning of Things,” on Songs We Love, a running list of NPR Music’s favorite songs of the year.

"Long the insider's pick to enter the class-act star space currently occupied by Brad Paisley and Keith Urban — [Miranda] Lambert and Taylor Swift are fans — Worsham has made a sophomore album that, if there's justice, will give him an unforgettable year," Powers notes.

Worsham’s album, also titled The Beginning of Things, is slated for release on April 21, 2017 from Warner Bros./Warner Music Nashville.

As an alumnus, Worsham has made a point to give back to the Berklee community by sharing advice with students on the annual Berklee Nashville Trip.
