C-SPAN: Communicators with Allen Bargfrede

C-SPAN spoke with Allen Bargfrede, director of Rethink Music and associate professor of music business/management, on how new music platforms have impacted payment streams to musicians and other artists in the music industry and where funds are currently flowing. Bargfrede discussed some of the recommendations that came out of the July 2015 Fair Music report to increase transparency within this system, including changes in how artists are compensated for radio play of their songs, and the creation of a public rights database held by a neutral Non-Governmental Organization.
