Berklee College of Music alumnus Abe Laboriel Jr. '93, longtime drummer for Paul McCartney who is also known for performing and recording with Steve Vai, Sting, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, and many others, talks to the Boston Globe in advance of his local gig with Sir Paul at Fenway Park. Laboriel looks back on his time at Berklee and reflects on the professors who influenced him, including Phil Wilson and Ian Froman. "Those were the guys who really opened up my experience," said Laboriel of Froman and Vai.
