Billboard: Intel Will Provide Blockchain Technology to Open Music Initiative

BerkleeICE's Open Music Initiative (OMI) announced that Intel will join the OMI project and will be providing their blockchain technology, Sawtooth Lake, to test methods of identifying and paying artists. OMI intends to designate protocols and best practices with which creators and rights-holders can record their data, and which can enable payments to be recorded and tracked. With the technical support of Intel, OMI now has a testing grounds to pioneer new forms of data tracking and payment streams.
