This December, Wayne Shorter stopped in at Berklee while on tour celebrating his 75th birthday. Part of the Sovereign Bank Music Series at Berklee, the concert featured Berklee professor Danilo Perez on piano; John Patitucci on bass; and Brian Blade on drums rounded out the quartet. Click on the photo on the left for a slideshow of the concert.

Regarded as one of the most significant and prolific performers and composers in jazz and modern music, Shorter has an outstanding record of professional achievement in his historic career. A veteran of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, the Miles Davis band, and his own Weather Report, he has received substantial recognition from his peers, including nine Grammy Awards and thirteen Grammy nominations.
