Physical Wellness and Fitness

Student Wellness Promotion and Services is dedicated to creating opportunities for healthy eating, active living, and self-care practices to support your health and wellness. Obtaining an optimal level of physical wellness allows you to perform to the best of your ability in all areas of your life, including academically.

Some examples of physical wellness include the following:

  • Maintaining an active lifestyle

  • Eating nutritiously

  • Seeing a doctor for regular check-ups

  • Limiting alcohol and tobacco use

  • Sleeping enough to feel well-rested

  • Practicing safer sex

Fitness is an important factor in your physical well-being. There are many different ways that you can incorporate fitness into your life, including fitness classes, joining an athletic team or gym, biking or running regularly, etc. Here's a list of resources on- and off-campus.
