Suzanne Hanser, Program Director
Master of arts in music therapy program director Suzanne Hanser, Ed.D., MT-BC, is a widely recognized leader in the field of music therapy. She is an active leader in education, research, and clinical work. Beyond Berklee, Hanser has affiliations with Harvard University and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of music therapy, and is a published researcher. Her contributions to the field have led to recognition from the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), including the Arthur Flagler Fultz Award and the 2011 AMTA lifetime achievement award. She is also past president of the AMTA, the World Federation of Music Therapy, and a founding member of the International Society for Music and Medicine.
