Tega is a soulful singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas, working to raise awareness for sickle-cell anemia, an autoimmune disease from which he suffers. After releasing his single “Melanin,” Tega began work on an eight-track album with a full five-piece band that he hopes to release this summer. His sound is a mix of jazz, R&B, and hip-hop, with influences such as Erykah Badu, Thundercat, A Tribe Called Quest, and Sarah Vaughan.
