A drummer and bombo legüero player, Tadeo Kvitca is passionate about percussion and its application to music, from its roots in his native Argentine folklore to the influence of klezmer music to a modern approach to contemporary genres like rock, funk, and pop. Although he started taking drum lessons at the age of 11, percussion has been a part of his life since before he could even stand up. He finds that percussion, especially through the drum set and the bombo, is one of the most natural and organic ways of musical expression. He strives to connect folklore music from South America to other styles, bridging the gap between them and infusing his music with new influences, constantly trying to innovate while keeping the integrity of each style.
