Katie Lansdale joins current and recent members of her studio to present an online concert of marvelous music for violin, entitled What a Wonderful World: A Celebration of Diversity. All works are written by composers from underrepresented communities, including the Conservatory's own Chair of Composition Jonathan Bailey Holland and student Che Buford (B.M. '22, violin). The program also features pieces by Nicanor Abelardo, David Baker, Noel DaCosta, Gabriela Lena Frank, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Gamal Abdul-Rahim, Daniel Bernard Roumain, and Fazil Say. Performers include Peyton Cook (B.M. '20, violin), Kiana Garvey (M.M. '22, violin), Gioia Gedicks (B.M. '21, violin), Sarah Zahorodni (M.M. '21, violin), and Katie Lansdale.
