Sheila del Bosque Trio
Sheila del Bosque is one of the most in-demand young flutists in Cuba. She plays recorder, as well as baroque and modern transverse flute, with a background in ancient, classical, and Cuban popular music, and has played with orchestras such as Ars Longa, Orchestra of Lyceum Mozartian, and the National Orchestra of Cuba.
Del Bosque has toured the world with ensembles such as the dance company Habana Compas Dance and the Cuban European Youth Orchestra, playing for artists such as Usher, Bon Jovi, and the Rolling Stones. Her trio performs a selection of contemporary and traditional Afro-Cuban music, influenced by European and jazz ingredients.
