School Night is a summer workshop series for alumni in Los Angeles.
Workshop 1: The Touring Musician
Ever wonder what it takes to land a touring gig with huge pop artists like the Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, and BØRNS? How about what musical directors are looking for when they hold auditions? And how does one find out about these auditions anyway?
Join Justine Taormino, associate director of Alumni Affairs, as she leads a panel discussion on the ins and outs of being a touring musician.
Panelists include:
- Kristen Gleeson-Prata B.M. '10, touring drummer for BØRNS
- Drew Taubenfeld B.M. '06, musical director for Meghan Trainor, Selena Gomez, and others
- Demian Arriaga B.M. '04, touring drummer for Iggy Azalea, the Jonas Brothers, and others
Seating is limited. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
