Sax....Son presents the development of traditional Mexican music in a master class that details the variances that exist in México.
The quartet highlights musical diversity in metric, genres, coloratura, and original instrumentation, as well as the importance of each style in different Mexican regions and festivities.
Sax....Son emphasizes the importance of the sound of the chamber ensemble, the development of the assembly, and the importance of new Latin American composers.
The quartet is composed of Nyzahi Vázquez (soprano saxophone), Rafael Valdés (alto saxophone), Edgar Revilla (tenor saxophone), and Pavel Loaria (direction and baritone saxophone).
