Fenway Recording SessionsRun River North / Will Dailey / DJ Carbo
In 2011, the Los Angeles-based indie outfit Run River North (formerly known as Monsters Calling Home) released an unplanned demo, a last-minute promotional piece to sell on tour. With only that demo, the six-piece band has seen extraordinary buzz, including a booking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Run River North writes brilliant harmonies with paired layered instrumentations, and puts on an awe-inspiring live show. Its full-length album, produced by Phil Ek (the Shins, Band of Horses, the Walkmen, Fleet Foxes), was released on February 25.
Will Dailey, an acclaimed recording and performing artist, is a three-time winner of the Boston Music Award for Best Singer/Songwriter. Dailey has had his music featured in over 50 television programs and films.
DJ Carbo, a.k.a. Mark Kates, was a resident at one of L.A's. electronica clubs, Atmosphere at the Viper Room, as well as at the legendary pirate station KBLT. He now hosts the Fenway Recordings Sessions in Boston. Established in Boston in 2004, the Fenway Recordings Sessions is a regular concert series featuring a mix of established acts and the best new and developing indie artists playing the city's clubs, along with occasional special guest DJs.
