This edition of Q Brew will showcase the tools and skills needed to use the Internet to create a fan base. Featured speakers are music and business entrepreneur Ben Maitland-Lewis, and television and book writer and entrepreneur Kelly E. Keough.
Kelly E. Keough is an author, performer, publisher, and entrepreneur. Kelly pioneered the first ever sugar-free/gluten-free goodies through her cookbooks and landed her own television series, The Sweet Truth. In Hollywood, Kelly was a chef to celebrities Kirstie Alley, Martin Lawrence, Jack Black, and Gene Simmons. Capitalizing on her content, she created a marketing company that promoted health products through public speaking events and an online business. She holds an MFA in Screenwriting from The American Film Institute in Los Angeles and is an English professor at a community college where she recently developed the new course, Web Content Creation Entrepreneurship.
Ben Maitland-Lewis is an entrepreneur, producer, consultant, and drummer. He is the CEO of Presskit.to, a multimedia portfolio solution for creative freelancers, athletes, entertainment businesses, and fine arts institutions. It is currently powering the Berklee Opportunity Platform for Los Angeles and Valencia. Ben has been working in music and tour management, distribution, experiential marketing, and technology for over a decade. He is a 2005 graduate of Berklee College of Music, a former marketing director at SonyBMG, receiving a gold record for his work on Modest Mouse’s Good News For People Who Love Bad News. He is the founder of an award-winning artist development and management company, a photo-marketing agency, and consults for numerous brands and festivals.
