Purnaprajna Bangere

The Liberal Arts Department presents Indian classical music and the art of improvisation with renowned violinists Purnaprajna Bangere and Praveen Sheolikar.

Purnaprajna Bangere is a consummate virtuoso Carnatic (South Indian classical style) violinist known for his technical brilliance and mastery over the violin. Praveen Sheolikar is an exceptionally talented violinist of the Hindustani (North Indian classical style) from India. Steeped in gayki ang, in Sheolikar's hands the violin expresses itself in an utterly sensitive and emotive manner. Both artists are the envy of any classical violinist. They both convey an infectious joy in their playing of the violin that is truly inspiring and enriching. The violinists are accompanied by Supreet Deshpande on the tabla.

Sponsored by the Professional Education Division, the Office of Cultural Diversity, the Liberal Arts Department, and the LearnQuest Academy of Music.
