Do you want to produce a recorded demo of your music, but are a bit unsure of where to start? Or perhaps you've done some recording, but are looking to pick up some new tips and techniques. We will explore, step-by-step, the process of producing a professional-sounding demo track using a hybrid of live and virtual instrumentation. Pro Tools will be our environment. During the preproduction stage, we will look at how to set up a session, import scratch ideas, and record virtual instruments. Along the way, we will mix our parts and use creative effects to build the track. We will track live instruments over this song foundation during the tracking phase of our presentation.
