The Nikos Chatzitsakos Trio explores the soundscape of the chordless saxophone trio. The group will perform jazz standards of the Great American Songbook and compositions by Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Sam Jones, Oscar Pettiford, and Wynton Marsalis. The trio consists of Eric Nakanishi on alto saxophone, Chatzitsakos on double bass, and Karol Zabka on drums—an atypical configuration in the jazz idiom.
