The LGBTQAI+ population is a historically marginalized group of subcultures. It is important that music therapists are sensitized to the issues that individuals from this population face. Music therapists must also be aware of their own beliefs and biases surrounding sexual and gender identities, be aware of their own identities, and how this influences their practice and identity as a music therapist.

Join members of Team Rainbow, a collective of music therapy clinicians and educators focused on educating the music therapy community about LGBTQAI+ concerns; advocating for LGBTQAI+ clients, music therapists, and students; and supporting LGBTQAI+ and all music therapist and students, for a day of didactic and experiential learning to enhance your understanding of self and others while exploring and learning best practice strategies, from classroom to clinic.
