Join us for a panel discussion featuring Jack DeJohnette, a National Endowment for the Arts master and a Grammy Award-winning drummer, pianist, and composer. The panel will also feature composers, musicians, therapists, and physicians exploring music’s healing impact and its potential application in health and wellness. This event will include Berklee music therapy faculty and staff along with members of the local healing/healthcare community. DeJohnette and fellow panelists will offer insights and share experiences related to the creation and use of music for healing purposes.

Other panelists include:
  • Rebecca Strauss, music director of the Riverview Chamber Players
  • David Silbersweig, chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and academic dean at Harvard Medical School
  • Wendy Krueger '06, music therapist and director/co-founder of Up Beat Music Therapy
  • Joy Allen, chair of Berklee's Music Therapy Department (panel moderator)
