Proclaimed "a world class drummer" and "a true innovator" by Modern Drummer magazine, Marko Djordjevic has played on more than 50 albums (four as a leader), while his performing experience spans two decades and shows all over the globe. Lionel Loueke, Clarence Spady, Jonah Smith, Michael Henderson, Eli Degibri, Aaron Goldberg, and Matt Garrison are some of the artists he has collaborated with since graduating from Berklee in '93. Even when the Odds Are in Your Favor will combine a concert of all original music with a discussion of musical topics, ranging from composition and improvisation to odd meters, polyrhythms, and uncommon rhythmic concepts. Featuring Sean Nowell on tenor sax and Evan Marien on electric bass. All musicians are encouraged to attend, regardless of instrument. Nonmusicians are more than welcome, also! This event is supported by DDRUM, Zildjian, Evans, and Vic Firth.
