Mar Fayos is a jazz singer from Barcelona, Spain. She performs jazz-fusion music with Latin, Mediterranean, and soul influences. For this performance, she will present a new formation, her quartet, and will offer a special repertoire designed for the Regattabar audience.
Fayos, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where she studied vocal performance, arranging, and contemporary conducting, received the first Mili Bermejo Scholarship Award from the college's Voice Department for her work as a Latin jazz singer, and the college's Professional Music Academic Excellence Award.
Fayos has performed with distinguished international artists such as Brazilian composer Toninho Horta, four-time Grammy winner Oscar Stagnaro, and Mexican bolero composer Armando Manzanero. She has performed at the Newport Folk Festival with the Berklee Gospel & Roots Choir and participated in the American Songbook tribute to Paul Simon.
Accompanied by a new formation, the Catalan singer will offer a special repertoire of original music and personal arrangements.
