Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Mar Fayos is a jazz vocalist influenced by Latin, pop, Mediterranean, and soul music. For this unique concert, she will be accompanied by a dream-team band of Berklee musicians, including Harold Charon on piano, Colescott Rubin on upright bass, Ivanna Cuesta on drums, and Amaury Cabral on guitar.

Fayos has performed with accomplished artists such as the Brazilian composer Toninho Horta, Grammy-winning bassist Oscar Stagnaro, Mexican composer Armando Manzanero, and jazz vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater. She has performed at the Newport Folk Festival and the Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid (with Spanish producer Javier Limon) and has worked with Sony Latin U.S., among others.

The multi-awarded vocalist, composer, producer, educator, and music activist graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music in 2018 and from the Berklee Global Jazz Institute graduate program in 2021, where she studied with renowned jazz musicians such as Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Tia Fuller, and Kris Davis. In December 2020, Fayos released her debut album of original compositions, Mi Propia Religión, receiving rave reviews from the international press. She currently serves on the faculty at Berklee, as well as Bunker Hill Community College and Escola Taller de Músics.
