Over the course of two decades together, Louden Swain has released a series of impressively accomplished albums; toured successfully throughout North America, Europe, and Australia; and built a dedicated social media following—all without the support of a mainstream record label.

When the band set out to record its eighth studio album, Splitting the Seams, the idea was to make an “acoustic” album featuring fan favorites from its extensive catalog. Many songs were reimagined and now feature a totally different instrumentation. The result is a collection of foot-stomping, upbeat grooves and breathtakingly intimate moments that remind listeners of what makes this band unique—infectious hooks, sing-along melodies, and unique lyrical takes on love, life, and what happens along the way.
