Since he started playing the guitar at the age of 11, Lior Tzemach has had a unique perspective on music and art and the deep feeling of self-discovery through them. In his last year at Thelma Yellin High School of Arts, Tzemach was chosen to be a musical instructor in the school Ensemble Department, teaching Brazilian music and arranging traditional Brazilian songs. In the fall of 2012, he joined the Israel Defense Forces, serving in the army band as a guitarist, vocalist, and arranger, performing classic Israeli songs. During that time, Tzemach received a scholarship to the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
In the fall of 2014, Tzemach began studying at Berklee College of Music as a music production and engineering major, absorbing recording and mixing methods from experienced producers. He graduated from Berklee in spring 2017 and began the Master of Music in Contemporary Performance (Global Jazz Concentration) program under top-notch artists such as Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, and Joe Lovano to expand his musical abilities and to support the social values he grew up with.
