Explore the future role of songwriters in this screening and panel discussion of the documentary The Last Songwriter.
Mark Barger Elliott, the film's director and coproducer, will be joined by songwriters and thought leaders from across genres as they discuss how the digital age is affecting songwriters' careers, and how this will change the music industry at large.
The panelists:
- Kawan Prather: Grammy Award–winning songwriter and producer who has worked with TLC, Usher, and John Legend; head of music at Pharrell Williams's i am OTHER
- Bridgit Mendler: Actress, singer-songwriter, independent recording artist, and MIT Media Lab Fellow
- John Seabrook: Author of The Song Machine: Inside the Hit Factory, and writer for the New Yorker
- Mark Barger Elliott: Filmmaker, documentarian, and director/coproducer of The Last Songwriter
