John Funkhouser and Jerry Leake: North Indian Piano/Tabla Duo

John Funkhouser, pianist and ear training professor at Berklee College of Music, teams up with Jerry Leake, tabla wizard and associate professor of percussion, for an exciting and uplifting recital of North Indian classical music.

The pair will offer insight into how the music is organized, including brief explanations of raga (melodic organization) and tala (rhythmic cycles).
