Led by former Blue Man Group drummer and Berklee professor James Murphy, 3VIBE is an instrumental funk/jazz quartet that specializes in highly danceable and intensely funky original groove music. 3VIBE's influences include John Scofield, Medeski Martin & Wood, Lettuce, Soulive, and the Meters. The band also includes Berklee professor and 20-year veteran of the Boston music scene John Funkhouser on keyboards and Adam Saylor on bass.
