Hey Rim Jeon, pianist, composer, and assistant professor in the Piano Department at Berklee, presents a concert featuring selections from her new album, Groovitude. The concert also features Yoron Israel on drums and Greg Holt on bass.

Since she began performing publicly in Korea at age 9, Hey Rim’s musical talent has led to significant recognition in the international jazz community. She has released four albums as a leader, with Groovitude featuring Grammy Award–winning drummer Terri Lyne Carrington and other acclaimed Berklee faculty members.

Described as a “brilliant pianist” by legendary saxophonist Benny Golson, Hey Rim has been featured on NBC’s Weekend Today in New York, and KBN, Korea’s national television network.

Her album Mona Lisa Puzzle, described as an “intense, intelligent statement” by JazzTimes, won best jazz album at the 2009 New England Urban Music Awards.
