Summer in the CityHannah Siglin
Hannah Siglin is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from the Pacific Northwest. Her love of singing sprouted from a young age. At 6 years old, her parents gave her a guitar in the hopes that she would learn to accompany her voice. She began studying roots and folk music and quickly became a well-known performer at local festivals in Spokane, Washington.
In junior high and high school, Siglin began to focus on solo classical guitar and voice, taking private instruction with Michael Millham from Gonzaga University and voice lessons from his wife, Keleren. She went on to compete in Musicfest Northwest and the Northwest Guitar Festival, and during this time, her interest in songwriting began to grow. After admission to Berklee College of Music with a scholarship, Siglin was off to Boston to study songwriting. Since arriving, she has been honored with the Pat Pattison Scholarship and regularly performs at venues such as Club Passim. Siglin hopes that her unique combination of classical training and a deep love for folk music will help her create music that is multifaceted and technical, but still relatable and familiar.
