Hailing from Ecuador, singer Gerson Eguiguren is also a violinist, violist, and pianist who has performed alongside recognized figures around the globe. He began his musical studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Ecuador at the age of six. He received his collegiate education at the University of the Hemispheres in Quito, Ecuador, and at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito where he earned a degree in contemporary music with a focus in jazz, Brazilian music, and vocal improv.
 
Eguiguren has performed in several concerts with world-class personalities such as Susana Baca, Bill Whelan, Rahman, and Joyce Moreno. He has made appearances at Boston Symphony Hall, the Berklee Performance Center, and Kresge Auditorium. As an active recording artist, he frequently records as a singer and violist for students at Berklee and records Berklee videos. Eguiguren is a member of several vocal groups and ensembles such as Berklee World Strings, Berklee Symphony Orchestra, and Larry Watson’s Band. He currently makes Boston his home.
