Musician and singer Gerson Eguiguren, from Quito, Ecuador, is also a violinist, violist, and pianist. At six years old, he studied at the National Conservatory of Music of Ecuador as part of the Children's Choir. He then participated in several competitions at national and international levels, getting to the top, and subsequently he traveled to Europe to represent Ecuador in the Olympics Choral Competition in Bremen, Germany. He later studied at the University of the Hemispheres in Quito, where he reinforced his knowledge of classical music. Later he continued his studies in the College of Music from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito where he received a solid education about contemporary music and a specialization in jazz, Brazilian music, and improvisation as a vocalist.

From there he was given the opportunity to continue his studies at Berklee College of Music. Eguiguren has performed many concerts in Ecuador as a singer and violist with several of the most recognized figures in the art world and at major venues in the country. This experience has provided him with a very important background about different musical styles such as Latin American music, Indian, Arabic, jazz, Brazilian, classic, and world music in general.

In Boston since August 2014, Eguiguren has participated in several concerts with world-class personalities such as Susana Baca, Bill Whelan, A. R. Rahman, Joyce Moreno, Milton Nascimento, and many others. He has performed at Boston Symphony Hall, Berklee Performance Center, and at MIT's Kresge Auditorium. Eguiguren has participated in multiple recordings for Berklee students and in Berklee videos. Eguiguren is a member of several vocal groups and ensembles, including Berklee World Strings, Berklee Symphony Orchestra, Larry Watson’s Band, and the Harry Potter Soundtrack Orchestra. Eguiguren is also the creator of the new vocal a cappella quartet MuZù, a group that brings workshops for singers about improvisation and performace around the world.
