Directed by David Fiuczynski, the Planet MicroJam Institute will host a Georgian MicroJamz clinic with Giorgi Mikadze (keyboards), Sean Wright (drums), and Panagiotis Andreou (fretless bass), students, and alumni.
The folk music of the Republic of Georgia is one of the earliest and richest polyphonic traditions in the world. Combining a sense of national pride, musical invention, and exploratory spirit, Mikadze has created a striking new hybrid of traditional Georgian folk music and progressive microtonal jazz on his debut album, Georgian MicroJamz.
