Michele Rosewoman, a New York–based, award-winning jazz pianist, composer, and educator for more than 40 years, headlines The Gathering, an ongoing series presented by the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.
Rosewoman, a vanguard and pioneering artist in her field, mines acoustic modern jazz, sophisticated funk, dynamic electric fusion, and elements of Cuban folkloric music to create a distinct musical experience.
The Gathering events, open to the greater Berklee community and public, feature performances, guest lectures, workshops, and discussions with gender equity as a guiding principle.
