Gabriel Gutierrez is a 20-year-old Peruvian pianist and Berklee College of Music student. He began studying classical piano at age 5. During his teenage years, he started learning theory and harmony, which led him to begin improvising.
Two of his best-known mentors are José Luis Madueño, a Peruvian pianist specializing in Peruvian folk/fusion, and Helge Antoni, a master classical pianist whose main characteristics are sound, artistry, and technique.
Gutierrez toured New York with the Lima Interescolar Big Band and performed in a classical recital as part of the Sociedad Filarmónica de Lima.
