Berklee students and faculty are invited to a special clinic featuring the rhythm section of Paco de Lucía's band.

Israel "El Piraña" Suárez is one of the most renowned cajón players in the flamenco world. The son of Ramon "El Portugués" Suárez, Israel Suárez he began his career by joining Nina Pastori's group. He was a member of Paco de Lucía’s band for more than 10 years. He's since collaborated with many renowned artists such as Sara Baras, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, Giovanni Hidalgo, Horacio "El Negro" Hernández, Paquito D'Rivera, Wynton Marsalis, and many others.

C‌uban bassist, singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Alain Pérez toured and recorded for many years with Paco de Lucía. He began his career in Cuba performing with Isaac Delgado, Irakere, Paquito D'Rivera, Celia Cruz, and Chucho Valdés. He has also collaborated with many outstanding flamenco artists such as Enrique Morente, Diego el Cigala, and Niño Josele, among many others. Pérez's new album, ADN, was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award 2017 in the category of Best Salsa Album.
