Originally from Paris, French pianist Etienne Monsaingeon has been living in Boston since 2012. Classically trained, he discovered rock, jazz, and modern music during his teenage years. After the experience of playing music with a band, he decided to become a professional musician. Since then, with the influences of music from classical to contemporary, Monsaingeon has developed his musical language through listening to artists such as Brad Mehldau, Keith Jarrett, Maurice Ravel, and Modest Mussorgsky, among others. Today he is developing his knowledge at Berklee College of Music, where he studies the art of performing and film scoring.
