Emerging Leaders Workshop No. 4: Culturally Inclusive Leadership
Hosted by Berklee Student Leadership Programs, the second generation of the Emerging Leaders Workshop Series meets Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided, and various faculty, staff, and local partners will take part.
Students who attend our fourth workshop, Culturally Inclusive Leadership, will:
- More deeply explore concepts such as privilege, identity, intersectionality, (systemic) oppression, social capital, and the interplay between all five
- Heighten participants' awareness of social inequality, as well as increase their multicultural competency
- Define and explore what "multicultural leadership" means and can look like in practice
- Discuss the value, importance, and risks associated with using your artistry as a platform for social issues
