Eguie Castrillo

Since moving to the United States from his native Puerto Rico, Eguie Castrillo has been fulfilling his childhood dream to become a successful, world-renowned percussionist. Castrillo has performed and recorded with prominent world music figures such as Tito Puente, Jennifer Lopez, Steve Winwood, Blood Sweat & Tears, and Arturo Sandoval, just to name a few. A Grammy Award winner and engaging showman, he performs frequently throughout the country with his big band at a variety of events and venues. His latest CD, Palladium Tradition, has been described by music critics as a "must have" in a big band collection. An associate professor in the Percussion Department at Berklee, Castrillo also conducts music clinics and workshop tours around the world.
