The David Mayfield Parade / Jack Grace / Erin Harpe
Grammy-nominated musician and producer David Mayfield is a folk-rock songwriter and guitarist. He has performed with artists such as Cadillac Sky, the Avett Brothers, and Jessica Lea Mayfield, and he has worked with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. His self-titled album, The David Mayfield Parade, features classic AM radio rock with lush string arrangements to unadorned alt-country ballads whose lovelorn subjects evoke the outlaw songs of the early '70s. Marcus Mumford, of Mumford and Sons, declares the record "absolutely brilliant."
With a new CD titled Drinking Songs for Lovers, one might be forgiven for believing that Jack Grace should ease up a little. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist who has made a career out of following no one's rules but his own, he is probably going to keep doing his thing until his liver lays down the law.
Erin Harpe has been hailed as "an authentic blues chanteuse," earning a reputation for her raw style and "total, selfless and compelling immersion in the music." An accomplished finger-picking guitarist, she is often compared to Memphis Minnie, JoAnn Kelley, Rory Block, or early Bonnie Raitt.
