Every Tuesday and Thursday, Berklee students, staff, or faculty help you either slow down or power up for the afternoon. Concerts are free, all-ages, and open to the public. Bring your lunch, snag a coffee, and grab a seat for our New Brew performances-they're good for the soul. This week's featured artist is Casey Sullivan.

19-year-old songwriter Casey Sullivan is preparing for the winter release of her debut album For the Birds. It is a collection of songs written from her teenage years, the chronicles of love and loss in a developing mind. Each song tells a relatable yet unique story in melodic poetry. The songs range in subject from "Baby Boy," a country-esque ballad about naive, young love, and "Heartbeat Cold," a haunting song about betrayal and confusion.

Her band has been playing around Boston for years. Goals for the future include touring the East Coast and recording another album. She is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston as a songwriting major.
