The Red Room presents the New Brew Lunchtime Concert Series. Every Tuesday and Thursday, Berklee students, staff, or faculty help you either slow down or power up for the afternoon. Concerts are free, all-ages, and open to the public. Bring your lunch, snag a coffee, and grab a seat for our New Brew performances—they're good for the soul. Today's featured artist is Elana Brody.

Brody is a multitalented songwriter known for her interactive live performances and her original musical style. From the mountains and wildflower meadows of Virginia, she grew up singing folk songs and performing musicals with her sisters in her living room. After 10 years of songwriting, her music now encompasses everything from country to soul to polyrhythmic jazz, making it "adventurous while still pleasant to listen to." With a voice that hints at everyone from Ella Fitzgerald to Jeff Buckley, and piano playing that is energized with passion, Brody's powerful sound prompted George Massenburg, producer for Billy Joel and Earth, Wind & Fire, to deem her work "mindblowing."
