Parents Weekend Concert: Pitch Slapped / Rhiannon

Pitch Slapped is the premiere coed a capella group representing Berklee College of Music.  Founded in 2006, Pitch Slapped has spent the past four years perfroming in and around the Boston area, earning a distinguished reputation. Their repertoire consists of a variety of styles ranging from pop, to rock, to r&b. Since first competing in 2008, Pitch Slapped has earned the second place title at the Lincoln Center in New York City.  This talented student-run group looks forward to sharing their passion of music throughout the country for years to come.

Pitch Slapped features San Francisco Bay Area native Mario Jose, a vocal performance major at Berklee. Since his arrival in fall of 2008, he has been performing all over Boston. He has performed in Maggie Scott’s Vocal Jazz Series , Berklee’s New Music Festival, Berklee’s Pop/Rock Showcase, and several senior recitals. He will be performing in this fall's Singers Showcase: The Other Side of Abbey Road. Jose will be joined by a large acoustic ensemble, performing a mix of pop, r&b, and soul for the Parent's Weekend Showcase.

Bowl Full of Sound: Body and Sound fit together by improvisation.
Shizuno Nasu of Japan and Big Island of Hawaii joins Rhiannon and Joey Blake, both associate professors in Berklee's Vocal Department in a joyous and unexpected journey of musical and movement collaboration. Featuring Rhiannon, voice and stories; Shizuno Nasu, dance; Joey Blake, vocal bass and voice.
