Before you head to the Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival at noon, join us for the kickoff at the Beans, Rice, and Cornbread Jazz and Blues Breakfast. Proceeds benefit the South End Technology Center at Tent City's Recording Studio for Emerging Artists. There will be live music by local artists and food prepared by the Columbus Avenue AME Zion Church. For more information, see

Performers include Aisling Peartree, accompanied by Odaine Williams; Bianca James; Dennis Montgomery's Praise of Zion featuring Larry Woo and Andre Chapman; Sandro Martelly, a.k.a. T-Micky, with Soloist Ronald Nelson (who are both from Haiti, and Martelly is the son of President Michel Martelly); and Jean-Luc Pierite, member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe.
