Casa Mendoza/Oscar Feldman and the Tangoholics

Wednesday / November 7, 2007 / 7:15 p.m.
Berklee Performance Center
136 Massachusetts Avenue
United States

Faculty member Victor Mendoza directs Casa Mendoza, featuring stellar rhythm from some of Berklee's top students. The group will perform Mendoza’s Latin jazz compositions with an appearance by faculty member Mark White.

Then visiting artist Oscar Feldman performs with his group the Tangoholics. The New York–based saxophonist and composer created quite an uproar at the end of the '90s with his impressive recording debut as a leader, El Angel. Known for his splendid tonalities and melodically outstanding charts, Feldman has performed and recorded with notables such as Alex Acuña, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Al Di Meola, Eumir Deodato, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Paquito D’Rivera, and Bebo Valdés.
