Kelly Bartley

Kelly Bartley was born and raised in Santiago, Chile with music playing at all times; at the dinner table, in the car on the way to school, while doing homework, when waking up. Her dad, an old blues guy, taught her how to play guitar, and my mom passed on her beautiful voice. After moving to Miami, she began writing music with Southern rock and folk influences such as Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, and Stevie Nicks.

Along with her projects at Berklee, she has recorded with Bill King's Saturday Night Fish Fry and performed at the Art Basel Miami Beach festival. A film Bartley scored will be featured in the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

Her band Up Yonder, with Shaun Fleming, Nicky Egan, John Ryan, Wayne Whittaker, and Josh Jones, ranges from Southern rock and folk to pop and soul, featuring four‐part harmonies and a laid-back groove.

This concert is presented by Harvard Longwood Campus.
