Berklee Summer Concert SeriesKelly Bartley
As part of the band Up Yonder with Shaun Fleming, Nicky Egan, John Ryan, Wayne Whittaker, and Josh Jones, Kelly Bartlett's music ranges from southern rock and folk to pop and soul. With a focus on four‐part vocal harmonies and a laid-back groove, Up Yonder has been performing around the Boston area and in the Bahamas.
Bartley has studied under renowned music instructor Elaine Overholt and recorded with Bill King's Saturday Night Fish Fry and two-time Grammy winner John D. Thomas at Cherokee Studios in Miami Beach. She has gigged all over South Florida as a solo artist and with the jazz band the Crafters. She has been a featured performer at the Art Basel Festival and Borscht Film Festival in Miami.
At Berklee, Bartley was part of the development of the 2010 Jazz Revelation Records CD, and her song "So High" was chosen for the Music Synthesis Departmental CD. She also scored a Harvard graduate film to be featured in the upcoming Cannes Film Festival in France.
After the devastating 8.8 earthquake that shook her home country, Bartley recorded "Levantemos Nuestro Chile," a song dedicated to the people of Chile. The song has served as an anthem of unity and support.
