Berklee Performance Center
136 Massachusetts Avenue
United States

The 23rd annual Pop/Rock Live! showcase highlights the best music written and performed by some of Berklee's most talented student songwriters, arrangers, singers, and instrumentalists. The concert will present a variety of original compositions as well as new arrangements of standard pop/rock and r&b repertoire, directed by Mirek Kocandrle. This year we proudly feature Marlon Saunders.

Saunders, former professor and alumnus of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, appeared as the calypso singer in the popular Disney film Enchanted, singing the Academy Award–nominated song “That’s How You Know” with Amy Adams. He has recorded/toured with artists as diverse as Billy Joel, Sting, Nine Inch Nails, Shania Twain, and Michael Jackson. He has two solo recordings on his independent label, and plans to release a new album in the summer of 2010. Saunders has sung on over 100 radio and television commercials, including spots for Oscar Mayer, Pizza Hut, Bud Lite, Diet Coke, and most recently Pepperidge Farm Goldfish.
